X-Rays
Many people are shocked when they hear that x-rays are not necessary in this office. Quite frankly, I am just as shocked when I am told that someone feels they are necessary! My job as a chiropractor is to find any vertebral subluxations (interference in the communication between your brain and body) in your spine and perform a gentle adjustment to bring about the correction of that vertebral subluxation thereby restoring proper function to your body.
 
As was mentioned in the prior section regarding technique, muscles are actually what is being palpated – not bone. Since x-rays do not show muscles, only bone they are of no use in my technique.
 
That being said, should anyone enter Ruehle Family Chiropractic and during their history or examination it is determined that an x-ray or any other imaging or testing is warranted prior to their spine being checked, they will promptly be sent to have the necessary pictures taken and read by the proper professional prior to beginning care.
